With defensive problems hurting TFC, here is a list of players the Reds should go after during the Re-Entry phase of the MLS offseason.

With the first phase of the MLS Re-Entry Draft coming up, some MLS teams have already declined options on players and some players have had the contracts run up, with their teams not giving out new ones. This past Tuesday, TFC declined the options of goalies Chris Konopka and Joe Bendik, midfielders Jackson and Manny Aparicio and had Robbie Findley‘s contract expire. In a season where Toronto FC struggled in defence, some would hope and think that a new centre back is number one priority. Newly named president Bill Manning did speak of that problem, hoping that the team would give up less goals next season. Since the re-entry phase of players who played at least three season in MLS and are over the age of 23, here is a list of five defenders the Reds should take a look at in adding more depth in the backline and also having some valuable MLS experience.
