Toronto FC’s Ongoing Preparations
While TFC focuses on the upcoming season, one of the club’s former players has made headlines by securing a new opportunity in European football.
Liam Fraser, a product of Toronto FC’s academy, has officially signed with Crawley Town FC, a team competing in England’s League One (third division).
The Canadian midfielder, now 26 years old, developed through Toronto FC’s system, gaining experience with Toronto FC II and eventually the first team.
From 2015 to 2020, Fraser was seen as a promising defensive midfielder, making 39 appearances for the first team. However, with limited opportunities at Toronto FC, he decided to seek more playing time elsewhere.
Liam Fraser’s Career and Move to England
After leaving TFC, Fraser moved to Columbus Crew and later FC Dallas, where he had a more consistent role. His time in MLS provided valuable experience, but ultimately, Fraser sought a new challenge in European football.
Now, with a contract running until June 2025, Fraser hopes to reignite his career in England. Crawley Town offers him the opportunity to compete in a highly physical league, where he will aim to prove himself and potentially earn a move to a higher division in the future.
This transfer marks a new chapter in Fraser’s career, as he looks to make an impact in League One and continue his development outside of North America. While his time at Toronto FC helped shape his career, Fraser is now focused on his European ambitions, determined to succeed at Crawley Town.
