New Toronto FC Away Kit Mock Up’s

In the spirit of Toronto FC’s tenth season, the club is due for a new away kit. Here are some mock up designs for the new jersey.

It will be a big year for Toronto FC. Not only is it the clubs tenth season, but the Reds will look to avenge their first round exit into a deep MLS Cup run. The team has signed a few new players this off-season and have really beefed up their back line in hopes to better their 58 goals conceded.

To go along with the big season ahead, is a new away jersey that should commemorate the teams history and do similar as good as last year’s new home jersey. Last season, the club released a new home kit that featured a red base and simple grey lines on the shoulder.

This season, if history is correct, the Reds are set to unveil a new away jersey. Looking back at the history of jerseys the club has used, there have been some really nice ones. Who could forget the white away kits they used from 2010-2013. How about those grey kits  they used early on in their history?

Looking at the clubs jersey history, they seem to get one new jersey every year. Getting a new home jersey and then a new away, and so on. Since the club used a new home jersey last year, and they continued using the black away kit they used in 2014 last year, it would look like a new secondary jersey is on the horizon.

Looking at the Red Patch Boy’s forum, there have been discussions on which jersey will be used this season. Some say that they will use an all back kit, which would look nice. While some tend to like the previous looks, maybe bringing back the pink jersey the club rocked briefly in 2009 for a special match against the New York Red Bulls in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Red Patch Boys forum user Nas, came up with some mock-up designs that the club should use for this season. Bringing back some old and new colours.

This simple black kit with a red sash across it would look pretty nice. Something the Reds have obviously never used before.

One of my favourite ones is this white and red one. Last time the Reds used white was in 2013 and Torsten Frings was still captain. I for one like the red strips across the middle. Make’s it stand out a little more.

Could the Reds go back to grey? This design doesn’t look bad at all, and they way you can see the top part of the TFC logo faded across the middle just makes it look a lot better.

Another simple and nice one is this black kit with the TFC eagle faded in the background. The Eagle doesn’t get represented that much for the first team, but does make an appearance in the TFC Academy logo.

Finally this half grey and half white kit would also be something new for TFC. They have never used a kit that faded into two colours, but wouldn’t look bad if this is the kit they choose.

All of these designs are great and Nas as really outdone himself. I wish TFC could wear these all, but only one can be chosen for this year. What do you think? Are you a fan of bringing back the white kit, or maybe the grey one? Should the club stay with black but change it a little? Or maybe do something really different and fuse black and grey?
