This time, playing at home, Toronto FC again tasted defeat and continues to struggle in the MLS, with this loss marking their fifth consecutive defeat, which weighs heavily in the Eastern Conference.

In a match without a clear favorite, Orlando City surprised everyone by winning at BMO Field with a game that didn't offer many opportunities for either team. However, luck favored the visitors as an own goal by Nicksoen Gomis decided the final result.

A challenging match for TFC

All three goals of the game were scored in the first half. Toronto FC struck first with a splendid play where Derrick Ettiene Jr finished off a move initiated by Raoul Petretta in the 5th minute.

Minutes later, Martin Ojeda equalized for Orlando City with a header from Ivan Angulo's cross, which Sean Johnson couldn't stop, leveling the score at 1-1 in the 27th minute. The second goal came just before halftime when Nicksoen Gomis, in an attempt to defend, unfortunately diverted the ball into his own net from a cross, giving Orlando City a 2-1 lead.

The second half saw few chances, and the substitutions failed to change the scoreline, resulting in a period of time-wasting by Orlando City players, securing their victory.
