For TFC players, there isn't a significant impact during these FIFA dates, where national teams play their matches and work hard to be in the best condition for their most important international competitions. However, not many Toronto FC players participate in these tournaments.

A major absence for Trinidad and Tobago

But on this occasion, one player, in particular, had the honor of joining his national team for this international window, but unfortunately, this will not be possible due to injury.

Tyrese Spicer is the Toronto FC player who represents Trinidad and Tobago. He had been pre-selected to compete in the World Cup Qualifiers, but it has been confirmed that he will not be part of Trinidad and Tobago’s final squad for the World Cup Qualifiers.

This is due to a recurring toe injury. Therefore, the TFC forward will work with the medical staff during the international break to treat his recurring injury in that area.

On another note, between June and July, Richie Laryea and Jonathan Osorio will be unavailable, as it is highly likely they will compete in the 2024 Copa America with Canada, meaning they will miss almost the entire month of June.

The 23-year-old forward has contributed to TFC this season with 3 goals and 1 assist, being an important player coming off the bench. It is crucial to work on his recovery, as the team faces several months of high competitiveness ahead, where having a deep squad will be essential for the rotations John Herdman will need to make.
