Point Sharing on MLS Matchday 17
The first 45 minutes of the game saw few dangerous opportunities for either team. However, the clearest chance of the first half belonged to Toronto FC, after almost perfectly orchestrating a play among TFC players, where the final touch came from Etienne Jr, who shot at goal but was superbly saved by Philly's goalkeeper, ending the first half with a 0-0 scoreline.
In the second half, Toronto FC dominated possession, battling to retain the ball and find spaces, but struggled to break the deadlock. Consequently, the match ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw for TFC, sharing the points with Philadelphia Union.
This draw puts TFC closer to dropping out of the playoff zone, as the results from other conference teams do not entirely favor The Reds, increasing the danger of falling out of the top six. Despite the numerous attempts, TFC faced a highly unfortunate match against Philadelphia, with poor finishing in front of the goal.
A challenging match awaits TFC at the beginning of June, as they visit DC United on June 1st for matchday 18 of the MLS. They must focus in the coming days on preparing for this tough trip to face a team fighting for playoff spots.
