For the match against Chicago Fire, TFC is eager to keep showing why this season is theirs. Although the recent games for The Reds haven't been the best, they remain strong contenders in the Eastern Conference, fighting for a playoff spot and currently sitting in sixth place in the MLS.

With more than five absences for Toronto FC, John Herdman has a tough job deciding who will be the 11 warriors to play against Chicago Fire and secure three points at BMO Field.

Absences Continue to Impact TFC

Some of these absences are due to players being retained by their national teams for the Copa America, which starts on June 20th with Canada's debut against Argentina, featuring Richie Laryea and Jonathan Osorio. On the other hand, the experienced TFC goalkeeper, Sean Johnson, is on the list for the United States and will also be unavailable for The Reds for an extended period.

Additionally, Toronto FC is dealing with two more absences from their last match on June 1st against DC United, where Federico Bernardeschi and Nicksoen Gomis were sent off with double yellow cards.

With these absences, several Toronto FC players have the opportunity to stand out and earn a spot in Herdman's squad.

Possible Lineup:

Luka Gavran - Sigurd Rosted, Kevin Long, Raoul Petretta - Tyrese Spicer, Matthew Longstaff, Alonso Coello, Deybi Flores, Lorenzo Insigne - Deandre Kerr, Derick Etienne.

This potential lineup for Toronto FC is based on a 3-5-2 formation, focusing on controlling the midfield and making the most of the wings despite Bernardeschi's absence. The aim is to fully utilize Spicer and Insigne. Defensively, the wing-backs' role will be crucial in maintaining a balanced team.

On June 15th, we will see how TFC lines up and performs in a match where the only acceptable outcome is victory, with the added support of their fans at BMO Field.
