Henry Wingo to Wear Number 30
The right-back will don the number 30 jersey for Toronto FC. Let's take a look at the players who have worn this number while playing for TFC. There aren't many, as only Tomás Romero, Yeferson Soteldo, Luke Singh, Julio César, and Milos Kocic have worn this number before, making Henry Wingo the sixth player to do so.
The last player to wear the number was goalkeeper Tomás Romero, who was with TFC in the 2023 season. Unfortunately, he didn't get much playing time, appearing in only six MLS matches and totaling 540 minutes with the number 30 jersey.
Another notable player who wore number 30 for a brief but impactful period was Venezuelan Yeferson Soteldo. Currently playing in Brazil, Soteldo wore the number 30 during his 2021 season with Toronto FC. He left a positive impression as an attacking talent, playing in 26 matches, scoring four goals, and providing six assists.
Henry Wingo is expected to make his debut on August 4 against CF Pachuca. This will be an ideal scenario for the American player to showcase his skills in the League's Cup, where TFC has already qualified for the next round. It will be important to see the potential Henry Wingo brings to The Reds.
