On October 5th, we'll witness a truly fascinating match, as the previous games between these two teams have shown. Toronto FC and Inter Miami have already faced each other twice this season.
Both matches have been thrilling, but unfortunately for John Herdman's team, they haven't secured a victory in either game, resulting in two losses—one of which led to their elimination from the Leagues Cup.
It's clear that this Inter Miami side is one of the best teams in the current MLS season. However, Toronto FC is experiencing a significant resurgence under John Herdman, especially when compared to previous seasons where the team struggled to perform well in the MLS.

The Next Match Between These Teams is on October 5th
It has been confirmed that the match between Toronto FC and Inter Miami, set to be played at home on October 5th, has been rescheduled to 4:00 PM. While ticket holders don't need to take any additional action, what's unusual is that the game was initially scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, the usual kickoff time for Eastern Conference teams in the MLS.
This unexpected change seems to be linked to the anticipated presence of global football star Lionel Andrés Messi at BMO Field, competing at the highest level in the MLS. Toronto FC, determined not to disappoint its home crowd, will be eager to secure a victory in this match.
As mentioned earlier, the recent history between these two teams has been challenging for Toronto FC. On August 8th, they faced off in the Leagues Cup, where Inter Miami emerged victorious with a 4-3 win. In the MLS, they met on July 17th, with Inter Miami winning 3-1 at home, making these encounters difficult for Toronto FC.
Nonetheless, Toronto FC hopes to redeem itself and continue competing in the MLS, aiming to secure a spot in the playoffs, while also advancing in the Canadian Championship by turning the tables against Forge FC and reaching the final.
