3. Can Toronto slow down Alonso Martinez?
New York City FC's biggest threat in attack is undoubtedly Costa Rican Alonso Martinez, who has netted five goals in eight matches this season after recording 16 in 26 last campaign. Originally signed as a winger, Martinez has been operating as a lone striker this season or as part of a front two for New York.
Martinez will be a tough test for the likely veteran pairing of Rosted and Long, who will need to keep a close eye on the 26-year-old, likely being the highest player forward for the visitors on Saturday. His last goal came against the Philadelphia Union where he made a darting run in behind the Union's backline who could not keep up with his pace, slotting home the game-winner on April 12th.
The action will kick-off between Toronto FC and New York City FC on Saturday, April 26th at 2:30 pm at BMO Field. The match is available on TSN, in addition to all Toronto FC matches in Major League Soccer being shown on Apple TV.
