2. Theo Corbeanu poised for more after netting first MLS goal gainst RSL

Anyone who has been following Theo Corbeanu's career closely knows that the Canadian winger needs to find some club stability. Sure, most of his moves were loans from his former parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers but nonetheless the 22-year-old has played for seven different clubs since 2021.

Having initially struggled to find the scoresheet early in his time with Toronto FC, Corbeanu got his milestone MLS-first goal on April 20th against Real Salt Lake. After an error made by the RSL backline, Corbeanu pounced on the ball just outside the box before perfectly slotting the ball into the bottom-right corner, ultimately getting the game-winning goal nine minutes into the contest.

Corbeanu was given two consecutive starts by Robin Fraser to begin the season before becoming a sub option, until starting the April 6th match against Inter Miami. Now looking to turn things around, much like the club itself, Corbeanu's three starts in a row should have him full of confidence heading into the fixture against New York.
