    In these 2024 MLS end-of-year awards, we find several players who have been nominated to win one of the prizes given by the MLS at the end of the regular season.

    At Toronto FC, there is a long list of players who have had a fabulous individual season, and some of them could win one of these awards. This is the case with Canadian player Richie Laryea, who has given everything for Toronto FC and has been one of the most important players this season. It is important to highlight how Richie Laryea, at 29 years old, continues to be a fantastic player and now could win this MLS award.

    Richie Laryea nominated for MLS Comeback Player of the Year

    The 29-year-old player has had a fantastic comeback year. Throughout his career, injuries have been a major challenge for him, but Laryea has overcome these setbacks and proved his resilience. This season, he has been exemplary on the field, excelling in both defense and attack for Toronto FC.

    Not only has he been crucial for his club, but he was also called up by the Canadian national team to compete in the 2024 Copa América, where he earned significant minutes and helped his team reach the semifinals. Back with Toronto FC, he has continued to give everything on the pitch. This is why he has been nominated for MLS Comeback Player of the Year.

    He faces strong competition from other players who have also had challenging years but have shown remarkable resilience, such as Ian Fray of Inter Miami and Serge Ngoma of New York Red Bulls. This award will be highly competitive, and while many of the nominees could easily take the prize, we hope Richie Laryea emerges victorious.

    Voting is now open to media, club staff, and active players in MLS. These votes will be finalized on Monday, October 21st. The finalists for each award will be announced on Thursday, October 24th, when we hope to see Richie Laryea among the nominees for MLS Comeback Player of the Year.
