In the lead-up to a match where all eyes were on TFC, they were assertive in asserting themselves at BMO Field, defeating FC Dallas in a significant fixture in MLS Matchday 11.

In the first half, there was a clear dominance from Toronto FC, with Jonathan Osorio orchestrating play from the right flank in search of Federico Bernardeschi, who would be the key player to set the tempo in these opening 45 minutes.

TFC's dominance over Dallas was overwhelming, both in possession and in shots. Thanks to the persistent efforts to find Federico Bernardeschi, he would score a superb goal in the 31st minute, but unfortunately, it was disallowed for offside.

After a few minutes following the disallowed goal, a penalty was awarded to Toronto FC after Osorio was fouled in the box. Bernardeschi stepped up to take the penalty, which was initially saved by the Dallas goalkeeper, but he managed to score on the rebound, putting TFC 1-0 up before halftime.

In the second half, Toronto FC didn't let up the intensity and continued to dominate Dallas. So much so, that the flank managed by Federico Bernardeschi kept posing a threat, and in the 52nd minute, he unleashed a left-footed strike into the top corner, making it 2-0.

In the final stretch of the match, the changes made by John Herdman became evident, with Matthew Longstaff coming on in the 65th minute and taking only 17 minutes to score the third goal of the match after a great assist from Federico Bernardeschi. In the dying moments of the game, the visitors would pull one back with a goal from Sam Junqua in the 87th minute.

The match ended in a resounding victory for Toronto FC, securing all 3 points and bringing them closer to the top of the Eastern Conference, which is currently dominated by Inter Miami. However, TFC is keeping pace and sits in 3rd position in their conference with 19 points, just 5 points behind the leaders with a game in hand.
