A Difficult Game for Toronto FC

During the game, John Herdman fielded a strong starting XI, with the forwards Derrick Etienne Jr. and Deandre Kerr expected to provide the scoring touch needed to secure a win.
However, despite Toronto FC dominating offensively with 15 total shots, they were unable to find the back of the net. Inter Miami, on the other hand, only managed 4 shots throughout the match.

The 90 minutes lacked major excitement, with only a few dangerous moments for Inter Miami goalkeeper Oscar Ustari, who turned out to be the standout player with 6 crucial saves. At the 61st minute, Lionel Messi entered the match at BMO Field, thrilling fans eager to see one of the greatest footballers in history play in Canada.

Messi made some attempts to create goal-scoring chances for his team, and in the dying moments of the game, at the 90+3 minute mark, Luis Suárez assisted Leonardo Campana to score a last-minute goal. The goal sealed a 0-1 victory for Inter Miami, and Toronto FC finished their season with 100 points in MLS, marking a tragic end for John Herdman’s squad in the final match of the regular season.
