Jordan Perruzza Joins Real Monarchs
The 23-year-old Canadian, Jordan Perruzza, has joined the third-division U.S. team Real Monarchs, where he will now compete in MLS Next Pro. He hopes to find a suitable place in the squad where he can secure a starting position and fully unleash his potential, which he was expected to do at Toronto FC.
Perruzza joined Toronto FC in 2018 after an incredible season with Toronto FC II, where he played in 28 matches, scoring 17 goals and providing 2 assists. He logged over 1,800 minutes, leaving the club feeling secure about the future of their forward line. However, the bright spark he showed that year gradually dimmed, and when he reached the first team, he did not perform as well as hoped.
He only managed to play 30 games with Toronto FC’s first team, scoring just 1 goal and providing 1 assist—a disappointing spell that ultimately led to his departure from the club.
Now, with a new team and a fresh environment, Jordan Perruzza hopes to have a better experience at Real Monarchs, aiming to achieve the breakthrough he has long sought in his career. At his age, he still has plenty of time to develop and could potentially make a return to an MLS team in the future.
