After a rather tragic season for Toronto FC, failing to qualify for the MLS playoffs, the team is now on vacation. Following their last match of the season against Inter Miami, the squad showed themselves to be highly competitive, with a well-organized roster that could have made the playoffs.
However, as Jonathan Osorio mentioned in previous interviews, the team lacked a competitive mentality, which resulted in missed opportunities and inefficient performances in several games.

Sebastian Giovinco Joins as Toronto FC Ambassador
It has been officially announced that Sebastian Giovinco will rejoin Toronto FC as a club ambassador. Although he is not returning as a player, Giovinco will now be part of the team’s administrative side. As a club representative, he is expected to play a key role in the club's management.
Giovinco is an iconic figure for Toronto FC, having left a lasting impression during his time with the team. The Italian footballer joined TFC in 2015 from Juventus, where he had a great run, and his arrival in Toronto exceeded all expectations.
Giovinco played 142 matches for Toronto FC between 2015 and 2018, becoming an essential player for the team. He scored 83 goals and provided 51 assists, proving his value game after game. Looking at his list of achievements,
Giovinco helped Toronto FC win the Canadian Championship three times (2015, 2016, and 2017). He also contributed to winning the Supporters’ Shield during the 2016-2017 season, and he was a key figure in their MLS Cup victory in 2017, helping Toronto secure title after title.
Additionally, Giovinco was named MLS MVP for the 2015 season, highlighting his individual talent. He was also the top scorer in the Canadian Championship during the 2016-2017 season, and in the 2015 MLS season, he scored 22 goals, cementing his status as an important figure in the league. Now, Giovinco will represent Toronto FC off the field in an administrative role, continuing to contribute to the club’s success.
