Despite being in what seemed like an accessible group, the United States failed to advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa América, finishing third in Group C behind Uruguay, who came in first, and Panama, who snatched the second spot from the USA in the final match.

The USA had a chance to advance as the second team in their group in the final match, but in a very tough and controversial game against Uruguay, they did not qualify and ended up losing the match, finishing third in the group with three points.

It's also important to note that Sean Johnson did not play in any of the Copa América matches. While he may have had some positive influence, the Toronto FC goalkeeper did not see any action on the field.

The situation in the US team is quite complicated, as they failed to progress to the next stage of the tournament despite being the hosts, raising significant concerns about the state of the US national team.

Sean Johnson is expected to return to Toronto FC between this week and next. Although he didn't play in any of the three Copa América matches, he will need some rest after several days of competition with the USA.

He is expected to be back by the second or third week of July, during which a lot of rotation will be needed in the team. Sean Johnson is crucial for Toronto FC, especially with three important competitions coming up in July: MLS, the Canadian Championship, and the League Cup.
