Netherlands 4-0 Canada | Toronto FC Players in the International Friendly
By Oscar Cortes
In this encounter, two Toronto FC stars, Jonathan Osorio and Richie Laryea, were on the bench for the Canadian team, waiting for their chance to represent their nation.
In a quite challenging match for Canada, there seemed to be hope in the result. The first half was fairly balanced, with the advantage even leaning towards the Canadians, but they failed to capitalize on their opportunities to score.
While the Netherlands team couldn't find their rhythm in the first half, they reacted in the second half and ended up securing a 4-0 victory, leaving the Canadians exposed as they look ahead to the Copa América.

A Match to Forget for the Canadians:
For the Toronto FC players, this was not one of their best days. Having watched the entire 90 minutes from the bench, their opportunity to compete against world-class players from the Netherlands didn't materialize. They will continue to await their call to compete on the field, wearing the Canadian jersey.
With their performances in the MLS, Jonathan Osorio and Richie Laryea dream of competing against one of the great teams in football history. However, until further notice from their head coach, Jesse Marsch, the TFC players will continue to wait to prove themselves on the field.
The next opportunity for TFC players will be this upcoming Sunday, June 9, when they face France in another friendly, before focusing 100% on the Copa América, where their debut will be against Argentina on June 20.
