In a momentous kickoff to the 7th Annual Greener Goals Week of Service, MLS has once again stepped onto the environmental stage, spotlighting a week of impactful service initiatives.

This year, the focus is on raising awareness for environmental issues across the soccer community, showcasing League-wide activations that echo the urgent need for collective action. Drawing inspiration from the beauty and vitality of natural ecosystems, MLS players will proudly wear Adidas One Planet pre-match jerseys during Earth Week. Dubbed "One Planet. One Chance.", these jerseys serve as a poignant reminder of our shared responsibility to safeguard the environment.

Crafted from recycled materials and adorned in three vibrant colors representing the Woods, Soil, and Water, these jerseys symbolize the commitment to sustainability both on and off the field. Fans eager to join the movement can acquire the 2024 One Planet pre-match jerseys starting April 9th at 11 a.m. ET, available at MLSstore.ca and select club retail locations.

In a bid to combat waste and address food insecurity, MLS clubs and venues pledge to divert over 61 tons of unconsumed food to local donation programs this season. By doing so, they not only mitigate greenhouse gas emissions but also make significant strides in supporting vulnerable communities.

In a move to amplify efforts in reforestation, MLS has teamed up with One Tree Planted to plant 1,000 trees on behalf of each MLS community, totaling up to 29,000 trees across the League. This ambitious campaign seeks to restore 68 acres of land, promoting cleaner air, stored carbon, stabilized soils, and enriched biodiversity. With sustainability at the forefront, MLS endeavors to inspire clubs, players, partners, fans, and staff to foster positive change in the communities where we live and play.
